1. About KTVis.IT

KTVis.IT is a Chrome extension designed to record visual browser walkthroughs for knowledge-transfer, onboarding, documentation, and operational reference.

2. Information handled

When you use KTVis.IT, the extension may process visual content from the browser tab, window, or screen that you explicitly choose through Chrome's screen-capture permission flow. This can include information visible on the selected screen while you are recording.

KTVis.IT may also store session information such as recording duration, chapter markers, session title and description, and generated recording data.

KTVis.IT does not record audio.

3. How information is used

Information handled by KTVis.IT is used to provide the extension's recording functionality, including starting, pausing, resuming, adding chapters, stopping, previewing, storing, and downloading a completed KT video.

4. Storage and transmission

KTVis.IT is designed for local processing. The extension does not operate a developer-controlled backend for uploading recordings or browsing content. Recording/session data is kept in Chrome's local extension storage and in the locally generated recording until the user chooses to download or otherwise manage it.

Important: A downloaded video is an ordinary user-controlled file. KTVis.IT does not currently provide DRM, encryption, enterprise identity enforcement, or technical prevention of a user copying or sharing a downloaded video.

5. Third-party services

KTVis.IT does not use advertising networks, personalized advertising, analytics services, data brokers, or a developer-operated cloud recording service.

6. Chrome permissions

KTVis.IT requests browser permissions needed to provide its recording workflow. These include storage for local session data, tabs for browser-tab coordination, downloads for saving the generated video, offscreen for recording-related processing, and page access needed to display the floating recording controls on pages where the walkthrough is performed.

7. User responsibility

Users should follow their organization's policies and applicable laws before recording browser content. Do not record confidential, personal, regulated, or proprietary information unless you are authorized to do so.

8. Children's privacy

KTVis.IT is not directed specifically at children and does not knowingly collect children's personal information.

9. Changes to this policy

If KTVis.IT's data practices materially change, this policy will be updated and the Chrome Web Store listing will be updated as appropriate.
